Who is Angel Contreras // ALL ANGELS ARE ALIENS?
Angel Contreras is a Latin American artist living in Melbourne. He’s been making his own clothes since he was 15, and has had his own clothing brand – All Angels Are Aliens – since 2019.
Specialising in upcycling, and only using second hand materials, Angel’s one-off pieces are all hand- and machine-sewn in his studio in Coburg. He is a master of the innovative and the experimental, and uses screen-printing, airbrushing and freehand embroidery to bring a new ultra-modern feel to secondhand clothes.
